Distopian
series about a girl, Lia Kahn, who is turned into a mechanical person 'skinner' after a car accident nearly takes her life. She has always been super popular, pretty, loved by all etc etc. and now she is considered a freak by both her friends and family. The books follow her as she tries to deal with her new life and find out more information about the corporation who controls all the skinners.

This series is interesting. Not the kind of book that makes you want to stay up until 3am reading it, more of a lets-read-30-mins-a-day or I'll get too bored. EXCEPT the third book! The third book is really interesting and I loved it- definitely better
than the first two. Overall, the series is a good read and I do recommend. Plus the ending is awesome for book 3!! Not anything that I expected and I love when a book does that!!!  NOTE: Robin Wasserman updated the name of the books and their covers in the series (as you can see they look so much more appealing- the new ones are the top set) however, the books are still exactly the same inside.
