The explosion however, either killed people or turned them into zombie like 'chasers' that drink blood and kill people. It is about him finding survivors and getting through the disaster.
OK holy whatthehell... The first book in this series is completely pointless. Turns out, the whole time the guy is just imagining his friends and he is actually alone, so he is back to square freaking one. It is complete bull and sh*t all that happens is he leaves the hotel twice. Spare yourself the agony and leave this series. In each book, nothing happens. He needs to be more adventurous.
